Woodstock Man Charged with Wife's Murder Following Domestic Dispute

Her husband, 47-year-old Kelvin Williams, was taken into custody at the scene.

According to Capt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the altercation began as a family argument that tragically escalated. "The father grabbed the weapon, tried to shoot his son, missed his son, and then turned the weapon on his wife and killed her," Baker stated. The couple's 16-year-old son and a 4-year-old child were present during the incident but were unharmed. Both children are now under the care of the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services.

Neighbors expressed shock over the event, describing the Williams family as cordial. They noted that Kelvin Williams had suffered multiple strokes and was disabled.
