The Cherokee Warriors kept rolling with their their high school football season with a commanding 40-23 victory over the Pope Greyhounds on Friday night.
Senior running back Brandon Hamilton was the standout performer, amassing 204 rushing yards and two touchdowns, averaging an impressive 12 yards per carry.
Hamilton also contributed 67 receiving yards and an additional touchdown, showcasing his versatility on the field.
One of the game's highlights was Hamilton's electrifying 64-yard run, demonstrating his exceptional speed and agility.
This victory marks the first win of the season for the Warriors, bringing their record to 1-2.
Conversely, the Greyhounds have now lost three in a row.
Looking ahead, Cherokee is set to face Lambert High School at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Meanwhile, Pope will take on the Sprayberry High School Yellow Jackets at the same time. The Yellow Jackets are looking for their fourth consecutive win.
